When the teacher at primary asked if anyone want to learn to play a violin, I was one of the first to put their hand up, I carried this on through to secondary school, it was the remarks from others that got to me in the end, and I quit, remarks like show us your machine gun, are you on the fiddle, the one that hurt most was are you strangling cats in there.
My friend started playing guitar when we were about 16, well I couldn't have that so I went out and bought the best guitar I could afford. even in those days you did not get much for £6.00, my friend was getting lessons, I bought a book and tried to learn from it, as you can imagine I didn't get far.
I still have that guitar, but never gave it any thought, when I was 59 I got the urge to learn to play an instrument, I fancied an electric guitar this time I could afford more than £6.00, so I have got myself a decent guitar and enrolled in a excellent training program.
I am looking forward to connecting with like minded people.
