New Discussion Board (Forum)

09 December 2017 - 09:56 PM

Steve Krenz, on 07 Dec 2017 - 12:15 PM, said:snapback.png

I think perhaps it's time to make the long-awaited break that I've been dragging my feet on for the last several years and start a new discussion board for our guitar family.

Absolutely.... sooner the better.

Steve; dont worry about losing us... You have a very loyal following of students (or should I say members) who really appreciate all you have done and continue to do for us.

Change is not something many of us relish, but it's inevitable and in many cases, like this one, desirable.

Your instruction, resources, video productions, guests and materials are all First Class, and more people need to know.

I see tremendous potential  and opportunity for Guitar Gathering / Mighty Oak Music to grow much bigger.

With a NEW Discussion Board AND a switch of Live Lessons to YouTube LIve. You and the members can only gain!

A sincere Thank You and God Bless.

Scotch Tape Method

30 August 2017 - 04:04 AM

I found this video about learning and practicing songs or lessons that made very good sense to me, so perhaps it will help others too.

Marc-Andre Sequin (jazzguitarlessons.net ) outlines how to learn a lesson or song a small chunk at a time and then "scotch tape" together..  ( Marc is French Canadian; his English is very good, with a bit of accent so you may have to listen carefully :-)  And if Jazz isn't your thing, don,t let that turn you away.... it applies to any style.
