I would've never guessed that color combo was Gibson!  I know that on different boards, 339 players give it high props (I don't recall ever playing one).  Happy NGD!

Yet another reason that we need a new forum!

Cap Thanks for sharing.. that was really nice . Love the new Tele!  By the way, I went to the Anderson site, and cannot locate your Tele. can you tell me what pickups you have .. love the sound.

The bridge is their TF 3 hum cancelling Tele pickup: https://www.anderson...s.com/tf-series

The neck is their HC 1 humbucker:  https://www.anderson...s.com/hc-series

To be exact, the builder's info sheet on this says it's a "Drop T Classic"

Really nice CapM.

Love the tone is that the "clean" sound of that guitar?

Neck PUP straight to a Neve preamp then into my Duet interface.  I added a touch more compression with a plugin and also reverb.  But sending your guitar straight to your interface and adding reverb will get you 90% there.

I have two Strats and two Tele's.  IMHO, the beauty of the Strat is in the neck PUP tone and the out-of-phase tones (selector switches 2 & 5).  The single coil bridge pickups in my Strats are very thin sounding, so I never use that PUP.  I don't have the HSS configuration (I have plenty of HB-tpe guitars for that).

That's why the bridge humbucker configuration has become so popular.  It's an attempt to keep the neck tones of a Strat but also get the bigger humbucker sound in the bridge (like a Les Paul).  I will say it is a more modern configuration and probably more versatile.  But if you want the more vintage configuration, go with the SSS.
