Here's a little update on what "baby-face" Joe Robinson has been up to since this year's Nashville gathering .... Sprechen Sie Deutsch?
The kid has been all over the world since then. Late October he was in Bangkok, playing a festival with Tommy Emmanuel and Adam Rafferty, among others.

While we were all in Nashville, he was in LA winning the World Championship of the Performing Arts contest.

He also did a short electric tour of his native Australia a couple months back.

My Dad used to say he could get 4 days: front, back then inside-out and front/back again! 8)

My Mum didn't think that was funny, especially if he said it "in front of company".

TomM,

Depends on what you've been wearing since you got home. Over a week might be a little long for the same shirt and undies.

Dan M.
Just turn the undies inside out and you're good for another week.....
Sackett,
I grew up with the Fat Stock Shows and rodeos in Ft. Worth and Houstion, but know that they cannot match the Cheyenne Frontier Days. Seems like the films of that show wild chuck wagon races much like the ones in Canada. Would enjoy watching first hand.

Sackette64 said: "...Frontier Days in Cheyenne as they call the Grand Daddy of the all Rodeo"

I have to take issue a little with that Sackette64. This year's attendance at the Frontier Days was up a little at just shy of 200,000. At the Calgary Stampede, attendance was down a bit at 1,186,636.

These are both great events and I regret to say that I've never been to either, but they're both on my list of "must-do's". :)

Of course, neither of them comes close to the Legacy Days Gathering

My computer was down but is now back up and running and I am chomping at the bit to say a huge thank you to everyone for making this 2009 gathering a memorable, inspiring, and exciting time. Steve, your gracious, tireless encouragement, leadership, talent and humor was a tremendous foundation for us, not to mention the late nights and early mornings behind the scenes. Thank you Legacy Learning and thanks to all for sharing your warm friendship so freely and musical gifts. I'm planning my guitar goals and songs for next year right now and have been finishing my vacation out on my porch with my guitar  Not sure what the neighbors are thinking though . . . 8)

Got home last night after 17 hrs. on the road & crashed!

"Wow!", cannot even begin to describe the experience. Thank you so much Steve for all of the selfless hard work and endless energy that you put into this event of a lifetime. It was truly a grand slam home run! :D

Meeting you folks from our discussion board and fellow LMG members has deeply enriched the experience of sharing our passion for the guitar.

Warm regards,

Tom

I went up to Johnny's wife after the Master Class, and said, Hi, my name is Mike and I am a professional Chef, and I would like to come over to the house and cook for you and Johnny and hang out...would that be ok?

She lit up with this big smile, and introduced me to Johnny, and we made plans to do that in the near future. God I love this town.
