Just wanted to drop you guys a note today. I know I'm not very active here in the forums, but going to the GG's has given me some of the best times of my life, and I count many of you as friends.

Last week a tumor was found in my throat, and I'm going into surgery next Tuesday. I have a guitar ready for me when I come out of recovery (the Yamaha silent guitar I was playing with at NAAM) and expect to have a lot of practice time in between rehabs. Might have more time to spend here, too, once they let me get my paws on my laptop.

I've been blogging my situation on my personal site (the same site I used to post the GG videos). http://massivelyuninformed.me/

Be well, and practice, practice, practice.

Opie, another reason that I am disappointed that I didn't make the guitar Gathering is that I missed meeting you.  Best wishes for your successful surgery and speedy recovery.
