I just watched Steve's intro into session 7 again.  To me it is just awesome watching the music he has come out through his fingers and manifest itself into the instrument so beautifully.  It is simply a lovely piece of music and to me that's why I practice.  So I can make music someday.  If you haven't seen it for a while you should give it a look.

Yes, the intro to every lesson has Steve playing for a couple minutes before starting the lesson.  It is very fascinating and definitely sets the mood for that particular lesson.  I'm on 11 and Steve plays kind of a Santana-ish sounding solo.  It sounds a lot like, and may even be, the start to "Smooth".
