Greg recommends the tools needed in his course. Have you had a chance to watch his videos. Personally, I have found the Cruz Tools Guitar kit and the Ernie Ball automatic peg winder helpful.

they're basic hand tools
He doesn't say you need top of the line Stewmac tool but you can certainly buy them there; Home Hardware or Lowes will do.

need a electric tuner..
correct truss rod tool for your guitar (wrench or Allen key)
3" or 6 " metal ruler with 32th and 64th increments
small Philips and flathead screw drivers
diagonal cutters for string cutting

Fret board conditioner (ie lemon oil product of some type. Greg recommends his own product professor greens)
0000 steel wool
note here.. this is for bare wood fret boards.. like Rose wood, ebony ,, not for maple fret boards. second note.. although he recommends 0000 grade steel wool and I've never had any issues.. he now recommends wood workers 0000 grad steel wool.. he says it's better

tuning peg winder.
Allen keys
guitar polish if you want
small adjustable wrench
sandpaper on a flat surface
single edge razor blade
vainer shim stock if you need to shim the bridge
