Topic: Travis Picking Mastery with Dan Bankhurst!

You can watch the lesson here... HERE.

"Dan is a very gifted guitarist and has a true musical mind and heart...I see an ever promising future for Dan as he is top notch in his field of guitar playing." - Guitarist Phil Keaggy

"...Dan is the one to watch! He is an amazing young guitarist. Such depth and soul in his playing." - Guitarist Pete Huttlinger

So excited to announce that we will have Travis picking master, Dan Bankhurst with us!  DanBankhurst.com

Dan was with us a couple of months ago helping to demonstrate the ToneWood Amp and he was such an amazing player I wanted to have him back to celebrate our Travis picking month!

Dan has been recognized at the national level and won the International Home of the Legends Thumbpicking Championship in 2013 at the Merle Travis Music Center in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.  For the past several years Dan has been a performer at the prestigious Chet Atkins Convention in Nashville, where many of the world’s top guitarists gather annually.  Dan now lives in Nashville and has shared the stage with some of the top acoustic and electric guitarists in the world, including Phil Keaggy, Muriel Anderson, Pete Huttlinger, John Knowles, Thom Bresh, Brent Mason, and Johnny Hiland.

Here's a little bit of his amazing playing...

We will be having some special giveaways so make plans to join your guitar family on August 30th at 7pm (central). Bring your questions and I'll see you there!

Our Ustream channel is here... HERE.

Looking forward to live lesson tonight with Dan Bankhurst. (That is if I get done with jury duty in time!)

He's such an amazing player and great guy.

Lots of great music!

Let me know if you have any questions for Dan.

Steve got selected to be on a jury during his jury duty stint.  He won't be available for the Live Lesson tonight, so it has been cancelled.

Thankfully, Dan was able to reschedule his time with us so we will be back on for this for the next live lesson.

He's an amazing player.  I'm really looking forward to this!

I read where tonight's lesson was canceled so I didn't bother to check my laptop any further until after the news.  Sorry to miss the live broadcast.
