Mark,

I'm working on it.

I'll let you know as soon as we get it solidified.

I heard tonight that you set the location for Trevecca Nazarene University.

That's Great news!

I loved meeting you, Greg V., Dino P.  and many others across two years of Guitar Gatherings (Phil Keaggy, Brent Mason, Rick Vito, Jack Pearson, Russ Barenburg, etc.).

Been too long.

Recommendations on accommodations for my wife and I?

Any word on us tourists getting into NAMM again?  I was blown away to watch Doyle Dykes play his signature model and later Journey keyboardist with his kids playing on Father's Day.

Thanks Steve!

I've never been to a gathering or any other type guitar camp. I suspect that my very limited skills will doom me to endless embarrassment. Is there a place for the less than talented at the gathering?

This is one of the friendliest and most encouraging groups you will ever meet. You will feel right at home!

So - where is everyone planning to stay? The lowest rate I have found is $126 per night.

Thanks Tom - What I am finding is that prices double during NAMM week. Just curious where others are deciding to stay.

I just booked Townplace Suites in Smyrna. SE of Nashville and on the same side of the city core as the University, so hopefully traffic won't be terrible. Waze says about 20 minutes to get there from the hotel.

Able to get a slight discount w/my Marriotts reward account.

I have just booked at the Hilton Brentwood, 20 minutes away from the university.  Looks like a great agenda planned.

FYI - to avoid shock at checkout, budget an additional 15-20% over and above your quoted hotel rate to cover Nashville, county and Tennessee hotel taxes/fees.

We plan to stay at the Hampton Inn near the airport.  Hampton Inns are all being remodeled.  We have stayed at them in multiple states and find them to be very clean, they include serve yourself buffet breakfast (including those Belgian waffle makers), and a snack bag to-go each morning.  Not five star but I'm planning on spending most of my awake time at Trevecca and evening music venues.

I hope to be so exhausted after each day of learning from Steve that I could sleep on the airport tarmac and still hear guitars playing in my mind.

I just looked up info on the "new" Jackson Center for Music at the University - home of Guitar Gathering 2017.

Are you kidding me?

The word "new" gets thrown around a lot so it doesn't get me too excited.

However ............. this particular "new" = Grand opening isn't even until next week!!!!!!

Check it out!

How did Steve pull this off?

THANK YOU STEVE!!!!!!

Decided to stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton Nashville-Franklin-Cool Springs - 107 International Drive, Franklin, TN 37067

Just off I-65. Straight shot up I-65 to Gruhn's and other guitar merchants. New hotel - good ratings.

If you pay in advance (5 days) the total cost is $649.50.

Not planning on it Dave.  That would be one heck of a long car ride for her.

I would bring the beagles, but I would probably be banned from Nashville and future Gatherings.
