I want to go to this so much.  I didn't sign up last year because I had just started the course the previous March and did not feel like I was ready to be seen in public with a guitar.  Now after finishing both the L & M Guitar course and the Blues Spotlight course I feel like I know even less than I need to know.  (The more you know, the more you realize you know nothing!)  I am just going to have to shut down my office for a week and that's that.  I haven't taken a vacation in over 12 years.  If I don't do it now someday will never come, just like learning the guitar.  Just got permission to go from my wife and my office manager, LOL.  Sign me up. George Howard

George,

Ha!  Time for a guitar vacation! Bring your wife if she wants to come.

It's always a blast.

I look forward to meeting you!

Gee Steve, on your ad page, who's that guy in the far right chair in the picture of the 2010 Jazz Ensemble and in the 3rd picture from the left in the individual pics of the student showcase? Looks like the guy I see in the mirror every morning.

The 2010 gathering was a blast.

If you have a chance to go, GO!  You will have a blast.

I will be signing up after I get some things straightened away and get the vacation approved. It means two trips to Nashville this year as I am also planning on going to CAAS three weeks later.

The same issues with my hands that caused me to have to cut way back on my playing a few years ago are still there and getting worse with time. But I can still play enough to keep the calluses on my fingers. I play mainly for my grandkids so Old McDonald and Mary Had a Little Lamb and songs of that genre are the main part of my repertoire now. But I enjoy playing for them.

I still remember a few jazz chord progressions and I run through them every once in a while just so I don't forget it all completely.

I'd like to come down to the gathering just for the show and the camaraderie but it's too early for me to make that decision now. Maybe I'll see you in June, who knows?

Ray

I just signed up after being away & disconnected so many years. I think I attended the second & third year but didn't know that this fun event is still going on  year after year.  Looking forwards to see new and old faces.
