Hello all, 

 

The itinerary is coming together.  Here it is as of today...

 

 

 

Tuesday July 7, 2015

 

7:00pm                        Music City Roots: Tribute to Chet Concert                        The Factory in Franklin

Doors open at 7pm.  Be in line by 6:45. You can order some limited food items there. (pizza, etc.)  JT Grey is the contact at Station Inn.  His number is 615-347-8336.  There is a possibility that we might be able to get group reserved seats for this.

An all star 80th birthday party for guitarist Nokie Edwards from the Ventures. Joining Nokie will be Bobby Bare, Kenny Lovelace, David Frizzell, Thom Bresh, Mark Moseley, Jeff Cook, Brent Mason, Phil Keaggy, Muriel Anderson, Johnny Hiland and surprise guests with Nashville’s A team band including Brent, Paul Leim, Shane Keister and Dave Pomeroy.  There will be a silent auction with cool stuff!

Man.......can't beat that for lineup for a great guitar education, personal music experience, high level entertainment and good old fashion fun! Wo Doggies! That's southern for excited!

Looks like I might be spending more time at the Gathering than I originally thought. With the exception of Martin Taylor, the CAAS Schedule looks less than stellar this year. Or maybe I have just become jaded after attending for 8 consecutive years.

Just arrived today visiting some family and going to get an early start getting logistics worked out Monday and Tuesday in preperations for a great gathering starting Wednesday!

Oh, if you are going to the Tribute concert on Tues stop by the merchandise booth and say hello to past live lesson guest Kirby Easler. She told me she would be working there tomorrow.

Monday night ......met up with RIck and Annette and went to 3rd & Lindsey to see Vince Gil and the Time Jumpers. Amy Grant was next to our table and she got up and sang a song! Great Country Swing music and Blues music.....had a great night!
