Hi there,

In the 'Elements of Art and Light Metering Assignment,' it said to take my photos in RAW. I did as it directed, but when I tried to upload the photos to my computer, it said that the files could not be opened. What do I do?

Thanks

Sam

You need a codec for your camera to view in MS explorer and  program to edit RAW files. Progams are usually on the disc that came with your camera or can be dl'd from the manufacturers site. Look and see if your camera is mention in this Microsoft camera codec pack and download and install if so.

Hi Jalapeno

I have an iMac with leopard. All JPEG files will load on correctly, but RAW will not. On iPhoto, a notice comes up saying that the files cannot be uploaded. When I try and upload them manually, my computer will not open them.

I do not have any additional software for uploading images.

Hope that helps.

Check this link to see if your camera is listed:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1475

You need the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update and that list will tell you which update you need. Once you find the update you need you get it from the Apple support site. If your camera is not listed then you may need to update your OS, or contact Apple support or your camera manufacturers support.
