Roadside Assistance Video - Starting Sessions 7 & 8
#1

Here in Sessions 7 & 8, you are going to increase your ability to play in any key exponentially. No longer are you going to be bound by guitar-friendly open keys of C, G, D, A and E. At the end of these two sessions you'll be able to play in any key. The world of keys is about to open up to you.
In these sessions you will also begin to learn some very important concepts about the "why" of music. Many people play guitar but much fewer actually understand why what they are playing sounds good. And once you begin to understand the "why" of music and how music works some significant doors in your understanding will begin to open.
Here are a few tips for you as you begin these important sessions of 7 & 8. - Steve
We've created numerous videos like this to help you out at various stages of your learning journey.

Thanks for your note. I'm so glad that you are learning a lot. I think there is a lot of music inside of you that is waiting to burst out if I can just keep putting little musical keys into you to unlock it all. I get a big kick out of it. Keep up the progressing. There are many people around you that need to hear your music.
Keep in touch.

IN SESSION 6 I LEARNT SOME GREAT NEW STRUMMING PATTERNS WHICH CHALLENGED MY STANDARD STRUM AND HAD ME NOODLING ABOUT EXPERIMENTING. I LOVED THE CHOICE OF SONGS ESPECIALLY THE ISLAND SONG WITH THE KETTLE DRUMS, I PLAN TO LEARN YOUR PLAYING AT THE END OF THE S6 DVD, WITH THE BACKING TRACK AS IT IS SO GOOD.
I JUST LOVE BEING PART OF THE COMMUNITY AS IT KEEPS ME FOCUSED AND AS I WRITE IN MY JOURNAL IT REMINDS ME IF I DON'T PLAY FOR A FEW DAYS. IT'S A GREAT RECORD OF WHAT I HAVE PLAYED IN THE PAST AND I PASTE NEW CHORDS IN IT AS WELL FOR QUICK ACCESS.
I JUST BOUGHT A NEW TANGLEWOOD TRAVELLER GUITAR TO PLAY AROUND THE CAMPFIRE AND LOOK FORWARD TO INCLUDING SONGS FROM THE COURSE.
THANKS FOR THE BEST COURSE THAT I HAVE EVER DONE, A LOT OF THOUGHT AND TALENT HAS GONE INTO CREATING IT. I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY FINGERPICKING COURSE TO ARRIVE SOON.
YOU'RE BONZA MATE!
Enjoying the Journey, being joyful.

Does anyone have the link to the roadside assistance video?
I've tried to change my profile to indicate where I am on the course so that I would get the link emailed, however I can't see the flag anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated ( I think I will need it badly)

When I started session 7 it was a thud. This was in Feb 2014. Now I am playing all exercises in 7, 8, 9. Sound is good most of the time but still having issues with changing cords on time and strumming in time. Got to get more dedicated with memorizing cords, etc. I have no plans of moving on to lesson 10 until I master 7,8 and 9.
Thanks Steve for Learn and Master. I so LOVE IT.

I think I will be in 7,8 & 9 for quite some time. I look forward to the day when I can start Fingerstyle.

I'm with you Sherry. As much as I would like to move on I know I'm not where I won't to be.
My thoughts are that 1 thru 9 must be mastered before going to 10.

Sjurich, you started 3 sessions in parallel, that's a lot of stuff for sure.
I'm still on Session 7 and I started to play some 5th strings barre chords too.
Don't forget about the music theory too :P

I'm having this exact same problem. (Using my iPad though. Is that why? Is the feature not mobile friendly?)

Thanks. Actually I just found the link by clicking quote on Steve's post and copy/pasting into my browser. I should've thought of that sooner.
