Many of you, like me, enjoyed the songwriting class taught by Morgan Cryar at the Guitar Gathering.

Morgan has a book of songwriting tips. He had a few copies with him at the Gathering but if you want to still get it, he has given me a special link for it for Guitar Gathering folks (although anyone can use the link if they are interested in becoming a better songwriter).

Here it is... SONGWRITING BOOK

I hope you enjoy it. It ended up being a great workshop and Morgan is an outstanding teacher of songwriting. I heartily recommend it.

Just got mine today too! I spent half the afternoon letting my son do what he's not usually allowed to do (videos, eating candy, torturing the dog) just so I could read the first couple chapters.

I got mine as a download. Spent the whole first day reading it from beginning to end. Some of the stuff I knew but I have to say that what I didn't know will be well worth the price. (The two bonus books aren't bad, either.) I missed the gathering this year, but on recommendation from those that were there, I decided to spend the money. I'm glad I did.

I received my book the other day too. The book is very well written and easy reading. I really enjoyed Morgan's workshop at the conference. I liked the before and after song examples he played where he really improved the songs, i.e. in the melody or lyrics. There are a lot of good songwriting tips in the book. I highly recommend it.

I was one of the few who got a book at the gathering.
He was a great instructor and the topic is one which I hope sees the light of day in future gatherings as well.
