OK, sure there are a million details that I have to do today in order to get everything in place for the conference. But I woke up this morning with an unexpected little grin on my face as I remembered that this is usually the best week of the entire year for me. Strangers turning into friends in a matter of days. Listening to some of the worlds greatest guitarists. Laughing. Staying up way too late playing guitar. VInce Gill, Johnny Hiland, Martin Taylor, RIck Vito, Russ Barenberg, Will McFarlane....

I'll think often about the friends from former conferences that couldn't make it with us this year. (We'll miss you Adele, Bing, Warren, Res...) I'll be forever grateful to Adele and MikeM for starting this whole party 4 years ago.

This conference has taken so many twists and turns. I'm thinking right now about Pete Huttlinger (our first guest scheduled for this conference) who is, as I am writing this, fighting for his life in an ICU in Houston. Pete, our thoughts and prayers are with you and Erin.

But all in all I'm very pleased how things have finally landed. We've got some amazing guest artists and some even more amazing folks from all over the country and Canada coming with nothing to do but hang out in Nashville, play guitar, and get to know each other.

It's already started... I'm getting wind of a evening excursion tonight to BB Kings Blues club to hear some music with everyone.

I look forward to seeing you all. I'll write more later but those million details I need to do today are starting to scream at me. See you there!!!!

Wow Tony, an early arrival. Not sure when we will get there, so I may miss BBKing's tonight.

And so the FUN BEGINS.

aka The Jell-O Man, JelloManKent
I once played a cat and got all scratched up. I should have waited until it was made into guitar strings first.
Jell-O curtains are the best of both worlds. Just don't eat the curtains.
