Welcome

aka The Jell-O Man, JelloManKent
I once played a cat and got all scratched up. I should have waited until it was made into guitar strings first.
Jell-O curtains are the best of both worlds. Just don't eat the curtains.

I am having some real problems trying to transcribe my little drop D piece. :(

Okay, I think I finished this last night. It wound up being trickier than I thought and the Tab looks far more complicated than I think the piece itself is to play (although there are a few quick chord changes).

It has a lot of rests on the beats and notes are more often played on the "and" beat when counting. Bass notes are many times starting on the last eighth note of a measure instead of the first beat of the following measure.

Since I now have it in Guitar Pro I may create a midi and post it so others can hear what I will be bringing.

Just a reminder that we'll be doing fingerstyle music playing and swapping mornings at the Gathering, 9:00 or so, starting on Wednesday in the jam room.

Listeners as well as players are welcome. If you are playing, do try to bring along about 6 copies of your music, so people can follow along.

See you all soon!

I made 10 copies of each of my simple originals. although I transcribed them myself and I noticed how sloppy one of them looked last night. Hopefully they will suffice.

Also Thursday and Saturday you may want to look at other times as their are master classes at 9:00 am those days. Even on Friday 9:00 is when Greg has his setup workshop.

Of course theer doesn't seem to be any single time that you won't run up against something. Wednesday morning looks the most open.

You're right, Tom. While I wasn't looking, the schedule got jam-packed with good stuff. And that's a great thing!

As for our fingerstyle playing and swapping, we'll definitely do Wednesday at 9:00; possibly more, but we'll have to play it by ear.

Now, I gotta go pack.
