Let's get together at the Gathering and play some fingerstyle songs for each other, round robin at set times, maybe in the jam room? Mornings from 9 to 10:20 look like a good time.

- Be ready to play something.
- Bring around 6 copies of what you're planning to play, so we can swap music and follow along.
- We can share tips.
- If you're interested in participating, please RSVP here so we have enough music for everyone.
- We'll do this if there's sufficient interest, and providing The Powers That Be (Steve, Legacy) approve.

Hey kt6strings I would love to be a part of this however my fingerstyle skills are weak. What I would like to figure out is how to play "This is my Fathers's world" and think the idea of playing with others might help.

Count me in.

I'm in. I don't know that many songs though. I only know my own ones that I posted in the other section and also Led Zep's Babe I'm Gonna Leave You. I'd have to do the sheet music though. Actually that would be a good exercise in and of itself...

That's great! I've been playing that one a lot lately, and we can help each other.

Sounds like fun and a good opportunity to learn. Count me in as well. I know a couple of old standards (Freight Train and Dust in the Wind) as well as a Rumba or two.

I plan to. I think I am going to bring a couple of simple original picking pieces.

The backing to my song Missing You

And a little incomplete piece I have been playing with in Drop D. Off the top of my head they both are mainlky a PIMA pattern.

I've been thinking about some songs we can try working on together at the Round Robin.

Here are some I'm planning to bring (you might like to get a sneak preview):

This Is My Father's World (which Steve covered during his live lessons)
Whiter Shade of Pale (from last month's issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine)

Whiter Shade of Pale would be cool. I love that song. I really need to start getting Acoustic Guitar Magazine.

Welcome, everybody!

If you have the recent issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine, take a preview look at Oh, Susanna, as well. It's great fun.

Looking forward to sharing some music and fun with you all.:)

Cool, I finally got my profile active and able to reply to these things! Anyway, I want to come and join in on the fingerstyle playing next week in Nashville. I don't have any of my own music. What I have been playing out of is a book from a classical guitar instructor (who was my instructor for lessons I took at school) and I will bring that along.

I just wanted to get my name on the "list" so that I could join all of you next week. I am pumped!!
