Check your part assignments again. There are only three parts in the Beatle's tunes. I initially had down four different parts so I had to switch a couple of you around.

Hi Steve, are we going to do a few more Beatles songs or is Come Together the only one?

Jim, I would guess it will just be Come Together. The Jazz ensemble does not have a song yet and the conference is only 2 weeks away.

Steve (and other Beatles ensemble people),

I'm excited to be in the Guitar 3 group, however due to very poor planning on my part I won't be in town for the first (practice) and the last (performance) sessions. :(

I would still like to attend the other two sessions.

Will my spotty attendance cause a problem for the group??

I'll try to be pretty low-maintenance in the sessions I do show up to. Posted Image

wfjtx,
I, too, am in Guitar group 3 and have no problem with you attending when you can. Certainly we can all learn from each other. Sorry you won't be there for the performance. See you at the Gathering.

Let's try a second song. Here is Day Tripper.

The part assignments will be the same as Come Together. I realize that you won't have too much time to look it over before the event but we'll work it out at the rehearsals.

It's going to be a fun time!!!

See you next week.

- Steve

Not trying to be a downer but I am a beginner and it took me a month to get come together. How can I prepare for this in a couple of days?

Tony,

Don't worry about it. There are more than enough people to cover the parts for the various songs. The ensembles are a low-stress environment. We'll work it out at the rehearsals. Play what you can and don't worry about the rest.

I look forward to meeting you in a few days!

- Steve

Alright. I promise this is the last Beatles Tune: Here is Yesterday.

I fully realize that we are a couple of days before the event and I haven't given everyone enough time to prepare on these. Let's just see how far we can get with these tunes in a few days. This arrangement of Yesterday is probably the easiest one of them all.

Take a look at it. We've got plenty of people to cover all of the parts and I'll be playing along as well.

Play what you can and don't worry about the rest.

Here are the parts for Yesterday...

See you next week!

- Steve

Time for an old style cram session!!

I am guessing there are more than a few people banging their heads against their computer monitors right now.

I can play my fingerstyle version of Yesterday better than I can play the single note melody right now.
