I'm still waiting to see how much of a hit our budget will take with this year's health insurance premiums. That's going to determine whether I can afford it or not.

I am hoping to come but not sure just yet. Money is tight now so we will just have to see how thinks go between now and then. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will work out.

I am still not sure if I can attend all depends on IF I can scrape the money together in time so it maybe a late registration.

I will not be there again this year for many reasons. Cost. No NAMM, thus no Muriel Anderson. The jump in the registration fee.

I don't want to come across as negative on the Gathering because I most assuredly am not. But I honestly don't feel it is worth the money this year. So, I will be disappointed once again. C'est la vie!

I hope all those attending have half as good a time as I had when I was there the first year.

I am probably coming, but have not registered yet because I have not been able to confirm that I can get the time off from work. My work arrangement is such that we have to cover the hours between 4 employees. Usually that's easy to do until you start planning vacations. With one of us off, it's extra hours for those covering and you can't have 2 off at the same time or it becomes unworkable. Kinda crazy, but it pays too well to complain about it.

Another possibility is that I don't need much time off if I fly. I would rather drive, but can fly if I have to, so I'm thinking that I'll probably be there one way or the other :)

Just a guess on my part, but I think I was one of the first to sign up. Then about 2-3 weeks later, one of our grand kids (grand daughter - teaches math in Austin, TX) announced her wedding --- yep --- right in the middle of the Guitar Gathering. I had better show for the wedding or really learn to play guitar as I'll be on the road with it. Also my brother will not attend (he had not registered as yet) - he wants to remain within the family, too.

I know eveyone will have a blast!!! I'll tip a cool one your way.

Just booked the room at the hotel. :happywarrior:

Note: the booking agent did not originally have free parking included with the package as she asked me if I wanted to use their parking facility for an additional $18 per night. After I told her that free parking was supposed to be part of the deal, she said that she updated the information for future reference. So, it would be prudent to double check that detail before you complete the transaction to avoid being charged.

Thanks Tom, as I said it was listed on my confirmation but I assume that I can get them to reverse the charges once I am there. I also figure I will need to pay it for that last night I am staying as that is outside of the group rate. Here's hoping there will be somebody left to hang out with on Sunday night.
