Hello all,

In our ongoing effort to better connect with you, we have been putting together a series of timed email videos coordinating with what session you are on.

In the past, when someone ordered they would receive just a standard system email acknowledging the order and giving shipping information. It was the same type of impersonal, system email when someone logged into the forum for the first time. And other than marketing emails, you really don't have much encouragement and support contact from me as you are going on this journey of learning. This learning journey that you are on is such a personal thing, I felt we could do better than just system emails.

I wanted to give a more personal touch to you guys at various points from the moment when you first buy the course, to the time when it arrives, to when you log into the forum, to regular points throughout as you move throughout the sessions.

So, we went to the drawing board and worked up a series of short videos that give you information, encouragement and support at various points from the moment someone buys the course, to the person who is struggling in Session 3. We did videos for almost all of the sessions.

What I need you to do is to go you your member profile and choose what session you are currently on. That will trigger an email with an email from me as well as some resources that are tailored to where you are on the course.

Also, when you finally make it to the next session, make sure and change your status in your member profile as well. Clink the link ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE to get all of the information and make sure to let us know what session you are on.

It's nothing major. Just another way to make contact with you because I know it's tough enough to stay motivated with learning on your own and it helps to every now and then hear that someone is rooting for you.

Your cyber guitar teacher, (trying to bypass through the "cyber" to get to more of the "teacher" part.)

Cool idea Steve, thanks.

Does this also include tire changes or any other road side problems I might have?

Great idea!
Merry Christmas Steve, and to all fellow guitarists!
May your calloused fingers obey,
May your music move others,
May you become that guitarist who is uniquely you,
May there be peace in our world
Electric, acoustic, strum, pick, metal, classical, folk,
Just please let there be music

Best to all.

Just want to remind everyone about this.

If you have moved up a session, then please notate it in your discussion board profile for the Roadside Assistance.

We have helpful tip videos specifically created for almost every session. When you change your Roadside assistance status then the system automatically sends you the new video for your new session.

I hope this helps. Just wanted to make sure you guys are taking advantage of these.

Thanks Steve.. I am finally back home in Georgia, retired for a second time. I look forward to gearing up and using the videos frequently. This week we are setting everything up in the basement for our guitar and my wifes piano lessons. Time to get serious and learn more as I have slacked off the last couple months during the transition back home.

Hi Steve,

For some reason the place in my profile where I put what Session I am in is no longer there. I am not sure what to do and I look forward to the Roadside Assistance. I have moved into Session 5....how do I correct this so I will receive the Roadside Assistance Videos? Thanks for such a great guitar course!! Pavanne

Pavanne,

Under Guitar Forum topics and go to the individual sessions, click on Session 5, the Roadside Assistance video should be right on top.
Good Luck with Session 5 !
