This is great!

I'm also in the process of posting an auction for a signed t-shirt to add to this total. Posting soon.

Jeff
I think the overall total includes the $300-400 that we raised on Katies swop table?

That's great!

Katie actually did all the work, and Patrick put in more hours at the table. I just showed up and hung out. I did see some people put a $20 bill in the bag for a set of strings, so the generosity of the members was outstanding as well!

Thanks to Katie and Eddie for the efforts with the swap, from whom all the proceeds went to the charity.

Thanks also to all of you who bid so generously for the items at the auction. Many kids and teens will be helped through your giving.

This money will go to the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital Music Therapy Fund.

Here are some links for your interest to this wonderful place and the handful of dedicated staff that work with the sickest of sick kids and teens trying to make their world better through music.

As you glance through them, remember to be thankful. Even as you are skimming through a post on a discussion board, take a second to remember that there are tremendously sick kids who are even as you are reading this desperately need the hope and joy that music brings.

On behalf of Jenny Plume and Sarah from the Music Therapy program and hundreds of sick kids whom you will probably never meet in this life, thank you.

Playing music is so much more than just "who's the best".
