If we can come across the pond, it will definitely be a few days early!!!
Sightseeing with you would be great!! :)

You can take the wheel for the drive to Manchester!!
(I'm used to driving on the RIGHT side of the road!!! :D  :D)

I'm hoping to figure out my work schedule for 2011 in a month or two...
Keeping my fingers crossed that we can make it!! :D

Sounds Good Cousin keep us posted..

Been busy here as well, but just wanted to say THANKS!! to Steve and Greg! Lots of hard work - very much appreciated!!! :D

It was wonderful to see everyone!!! Had a great time!!! :D

Of course, it was fantastic to spend some time with cousin Adele!!! :D

Yep it certainly was great to spend some time with you cousin Barbara. I hope we get the chance to do it again sometime, maybe over this side of the pond at the UK Gathering?

Adele

I hope so Cousin!! :D We'll be checking the dates and our work schedules!

Dates for the UK Gathering are 26th to 29th of August next year give or take a day or two cousin. Of course you could fly from Newark to Glasgow a few days earlier and we could do some sightseeing up here and then drive down to Manchester Louise, another 'Road Trip' but this time I would do the driving.

OK Ian and I have the UK Gathering to try and get off the ground for 2011 so that will be something to look forward to.

Adele, a L&MG gathering in Europe is a great initiative. You should be called Bright Lady from now on :).
It was too difficult for me in terms of schedule to make it (all the way from Romania) to this year's Gathering, but next year I plan to be there.

However if Steve Krenz attends the UK Gathering I will definitely take the opportunity to participate and shake his hand for the great job he'd done.

Liviu

Hi Liviu

Ah but it actually wasn't my idea in the first instance that honour goes to Ian the other organizer.
Steve is definitely attending along with Greg who will do set ups and probably Steve's long term jamming partner Dino.
We are still working on the masterclasses but plan to be there, it's going to be a blast.
Should I put you down as an attendee to the UK Gathering?
Also if you do make Nashvillle you will have a very good time.

^^ Bing! You're still alive! We thought you and Woody had fallen in a hole at NAMM.

hahahaha. I've been so busy working, playing guitar and studying theory that I have only posted lightly. I did upload the Jazz Ensemble just a few minutes ago and eventually off of the videos minus the band per Adele's request :) Links will be posted under the gathering photos and video thread. Not bad video for a non-HD camera. miniDV still rocks!

I keep telling you - label it experimental/fusion jazz and we'll get a recording deal out of it. :D

Ah yes but you have probably heard/seen Woody's video, whereas I haven't heard or see any and I am reserving judgment and permission to publish until I have heard/seen one or the other. Remember the song is copyrighted to me.

Adele

I had dinner w/ Woody last night, but have not seen the video yet. Maybe we'll get together and watch it this weekend. I'll let you know. If worse comes to worse we can just dub over a good sound take for the "official" video

We both just ended up busy at work as soon as we got back. NAAM was cool - I'll post when I have a few more minutes. I hope you and the Mrs are doing well.

LOL exactly. Thank YOU Phil for doing this. I've never seen such a great community before, I'm proud to be a part of it. Everyone is willing to help everyone else. It's almost like we're our own church. The church of Krenz!

Are there things that can change for the better? Sure. But overall, I'd have to say it was a resounding success! I was looking forward to next year as soon as I got in my car for the ride home.

John,

Sorry we didn't meet! Loved your performance. Oh & the shirt was great!

Only if you really copyrighted it and there's a time limit to submit it. The International copyright limit is shorter once the item is made public.

Kent its different in the UK as soon as I write the song I own the copyright plus it is registered with the PRS.

I once played a cat and got all scratched up. I should have waited until it was made into guitar strings first.

Thanks Adele and the rest of the band. It was fun playing the songs together and even stumbling through a song in front of everyone. We learned that a sound check is an important thing and starting over wouldn't have been a bad thing. Please destroy any video ;-) Thanks Woody for loaning us your Privia! It got some use from Dino too!

It was great seeing everyone from last year and meeting new players!

Steve

Thanks Steve and that's a definite on the sound check IF we ever get together for another one at future events. Also a BIG definite PLEASE DESTROY any video of the band thanks.
Plus more rehearsal time together would have helped. :)

Adele

Nah, I'm keeping that video for blackmail purposes.
